The membership drive is over but it shouldn’t mean the membership growth
initiative should slow down. The reduced initiation fees are still in place and there
is still plenty of time for a prospective member to take advantage of the fees.
- 1. Invite a prospective member to dinner or lunch.
Reason: It is always less intimidating for a couple to eat with a couple they
already know. Remember that a driving force in joining a Club or any other
organization is not only about the amenities but the relationships as well.
(Who knows? If they are serious candidates, Chip will probably comp the
guests’ dinner. That is a win-win.)
- 2. Attend an ACC function (even if you don’t want to).
Reason: A good way to market the Club is by showing a good social
environment. The more people a prospective member meets, the more they
are impressed by the Club pride.
- 3. Offer to pay their initiation.
Reason: (Just kidding. Just seeing who is paying attention.)
- 4.Call the office and refer the prospective member.
Reason: We understand that you, the member, already might have an
established relationship with the prospective member and don’t want to rock
the boat or put an unwanted strain on the relationship. Let us do it. We are
very welcoming and our goal is to be as non intimidating as possible.
There have been a lot of compliments on the
Club's facilities from the golf course to the fitness
room to the increased activity at the pool. These
compliments should make you, the member, feel very
proud of being a part of the Anniston Country Club.
On that note, please feel free to stop in the main
lobby and view the resolution of congratulations
from the USGA hanging on the wall.
Glad to be a part of something special,
Amado
